I was a North Face addict but after trying the HH gear I am a convert. Some of the most well thought out designs and excellent construction.

I have recently received my Helly Hansen Seattle Packable Rain Jacket in gray. I found it to be as advertised except that does seem to build up heat inside when zipped up. In a cold rain that could be nice but not when sitting in the doctor's office. I had to take it off. I was wearing a cotton sweater so not having one one might have made a difference but it appears the jacket (made in VIetnam in small print) is made of PVC. So of course it will build up heat. I don't remember whether the advertisements mentioned that it was PVC because I would not have bought it. Otherwise the jacket was as presented. Lined with smooth but thin nylon and netting. There are no underarm vents or other locationed venting. Gonna be warm- no doubt.

Nice rain gear. Not as easy to pack into itself as earlier models. Great for travel.
