Item sent did not match descriptionJan 10, 2010
By Jean M. I ordered these snowboard pants based on the description (and photo) that they had a "waist gator." I was looking for this feature to avoid a belt and provide waist coverage without bib-style ski pants. What I received was a regular waist pants. I re-checked the item description and it clearly stated a waist gator. Also, the photo showed the fabric extension. My call to Amazon was frustrating - I was told to order them somewhere else, because the description was the same so there was no way to determine what I would be sent. There was no effort to determine if the seller had sent the wrong item. I had to return them and buy pants locally, which has now cost me more time and expense. I've had a few disappointing experiences with Amazon and I think overall, dealing with their mistakes has cost me more than I've saved. I'll still order textbooks - can't go too far wrong with the ISB #, but that's it for me. As far as the DC pants themselves - if you like the standard-waist style, they are great. Lapis color was sharp for snowboarding. Great fabric and features. They were nice, and I was disappointed that they wouldn't work for me.
